Papers of Jackson L. Hyde, 1915-1976.

The papers of Jackson Hyde consist of correspondence, military medals, a scrapbook, greeting cards, photographs, etc., relating primarily to his service during World War II as a member of the 210th Armored Infantry Battalion, 10th Armored (Tiger) Division. He served in France, Belgium, and Germany, participated in the Battle of the Bulge, and was killed in action. His Bronze Star and Purple Heart are included in the collection, as are his dogtags and insignias from his uniform.
